My Maddie girl is growing up right before my eyes. She has LOVED being in 1st grade. Her teacher is wonderful. Maddie loves her friends, and especially loves to TALK. Can you believe that? At her parent/teacher conference last week, Mrs. Evans had only good things to say about her academics, but had to admit Maddie's biggest downfall is her socializing. I don't know where she gets that from.
Maddie chose this year to try playing basketball. The district has teams for every grade, so she is going to actually be on a team. I think she may not be playing much this first year, as she has not had much practice, let's see, dribbling, shooting, or even PLAYING basketball. She has been to a couple practices, and the coach already gave her homework - dribble 10-20 minutes a day. She has her work cut out for her.

Oh my word, Karebear. I can't believe how big Maddie and Taylor are getting!! I can't believe Maddie's a chatter at school. Where, oh where, would she pick that up? And Taylor the math wiz?!? Where would he get such a thing? (I mean really, where? Rick's side of the family...? :)
